Equipped with HD Voice, echo canceling, digital EQ, and USB PC control, the GSM Hybrid enhances your studio’s communication capabilities, ensuring crystal-clear, reliable connections with field reporters. With its own dedicated number, reporters can effortlessly dial in, and calls integrate seamlessly into your mixing console via built-in GPIOs.

The package includes an external 12-volt power supply adapter for added convenience. The GSM Hybrid offers features like input/output metering, level control, phone dialing, number recognition, and GSM signal strength indication, ensuring efficient and smooth communication.

• Rack Mount Case: The electronics are securely housed in a durable 9.5” metal rack mount case, ideal for professional environments.
• Dual Antennas: Both antennas ensure a stable, uninterrupted connection to the nearest GSM tower.
• SIM Card Slot: Easily insert a standard SIM card from your preferred provider into the slot on the left side, with the copper contact area facing down and the cut-off corner at the top left.
• Connect Button (RING): The connect switch enables you to manage calls from the GSM network, remotely operable via the GPI Jack on the back panel.
• Dedicated GSM Number: The GSM Hybrid features its own dedicated number for direct dial-in, with seamless integration into your mixing console via built-in GPIOs.

Back Panel

• Power Supply: The unit is powered by an external 12-volt 1A adapter, included in the package for your convenience.
• USB Connectivity: Connect the device to your computer using the included USB 2.0 cable for easy configuration and dialing via the TFT screen.
• Back Panel Connections:
  • USB Port: Connects the device to your PC for call management and configuration.
  • Receive (XLR): Outputs the received signal from the caller to a mixing console’s line input.
  • Send (XLR): Receives audio from the mixing console and sends it to the caller.
  • GPO Jack: Allows remote control of signaling devices like D&R’s On-Air Light.
  • GPI Port: Enables remote operation of the Connect switch (Ring/Hook) on the front panel.

Software

• GSM Hybrid Control Application: The GSM Hybrid Control application is essential for configuring and managing the GSM Hybrid. It allows you to adjust input and output levels via the Settings menu, and you can make calls using the dial pad window.
• Application Features: The application displays SIM card status, call status, and PPM meters for input and output levels.
• Main Window: The Main window shows the selected item from the Menu toolbar, with the ability to switch views at any time, even during an active call.

• Main studio number:

  • If you need higher audio quality than your regular digital or analog studio hybrids provide, use the GSM Hybrid as your main studio number.

  • Callers with an HD Voice subscription will experience extended bandwidth up to 7kHz, resulting in clear, natural-sounding audio. Give it a try!
