Anaheim, California (October 27, 2025) – The Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) has outfitted Classroom K, a 100-seat teaching space at its Ultuna campus, with a comprehensive Extron AV system to support both traditional instruction and hybrid videoconferencing. AV integrator Atea selected Extron technologies to ensure reliable performance, intuitive operation, and efficient installation as part of its ongoing classroom modernization program. Anchored by an Extron DTP CrossPoint 84 presentation matrix switcher, the integrated solution streamlines video switching, audio processing, and system control while minimizing rack space requirements.

The installation features DTP transmitters and receivers for signal extension, a TLP Pro 725C Cable Cubby TouchLink Pro touchpanel for AV control, and a DMP 64 Plus audio processor paired with CA 163 column array speakers and an XPA U 2002 SB amplifier for clear, intelligible sound. USB Extender Plus units provide remote integration of conferencing peripherals. Completed on time and within budget, the system has been well received by both instructors and technical staff, who value the dual-panel control approach that splits AV and conferencing functions between Extron and Cisco interfaces.
