NZME Auckland Installs 4.0m Satellite Dish

As part of the planned move of the Cook Street network centre to 2 Graham Street, AVW was contracted for the installation of a 4.0 meter transmit and receive Earth Station antenna, as well as two receive antennas for NZME’s new headquarters in the heart of the Auckland CBD.

This equipment will provide Ku-Band uplink, downlink and signal monitoring for NZME’s radio requirements, integrating with the existing network infrastructure. The project also involved supply of Newtec IP satellite modulators, IDC STAR pro audio receivers and Terrasat Block Upconverters.

The antennas were built at our East Tamaki office then delivered to NZME Central where using a crane, they were hoisted five stories onto the roof and into their final position.
